10 affirmations to tell yourself before a photoshoot
Ask any of my clients and they’ll all tell you that I don’t allow the words, “sorry I’m so awkward” to come out of my clients mouths. I so want everyone to walk away from their shoot with a new respect for their body and love for themselves. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, but I know that if you walk into your senior pictures even if it’s with a false sense of confidence you’re likely to have a better photoshoot than if you walked in thinking, “these are going to be awful, I’m so awkward.” It just isn’t a good look for you. Now trust me when I say that I know it’s really hard to build up that confidence, even if it’s fake. While I have certain little tricks that help people relax during a senior shoot, I like to give you some ideas on how to walk into the shoot ready to go with a fab new outlook and self love. A couple of tips to help would be to play your favorite jam, bring your favorite support team, or grab your favorite drink before the shoot. Other things that are sure to help would be to tell yourself these 10 affirmations. The definition of an affirmation is the action or process of affirming something or being affirmed. This can also be defined as emotional support or encouragement. These 10 affirmations to tell yourself before a photoshoot will not only help with a little self love, but it will also ensure that you have the best possible experience. Now not everyone is going to need these affirmations and honestly you might not need all of them to get you in the right headspace for a photoshoot. I am not asking you to stand in front of the mirror and scream these at yourself before you believe them but I promise they help. If you are feeling nervous or unsure or even overwhelmed by being the center of attention then these will help. If you are feeling down on yourself the day of your photoshoot or nothing seems to be going right or going according to your vision then these will help.
